Welcome to my STEM Institute Portfolio

My name is Ariel Egbunine. I am a student at Roland Park Country School, RPCS. I am a member of the Science Technology Engineering Mathematics, STEM, program at RPCS. I became a proud member of the STEM Institute, because I love science and math, and I am also an avid learner. I am a diligent worker, and very meticulous in every aspect of my life. I have always wanted to be a medical physician, specifically, an Anesthesiologist. The STEM institute was my starting point. Below I have arranged my STEM portfolio from 9th through 12th grade.

During our STEM Research Seminar IA we constructed:

A short term memory project

During our STEM Research Seminar IB we constructed:

A mars rover experiment

During our STEM Research Seminar IIA we constructed:

We explored the 3D world

During our STEM Research Seminar IIB we constructed:

A sunscreen experiment

Also a sustainability project

During my 9th grade year, in my Biology course we had a semester long Soil Ecology project; where we were placed into a group of 3-4:

Soil Ecology Project

The Soil Ecology project led to my summer internship studing soil ecology, also in a group of 3-4:

Summer soil ecology internship

However, for my year-long internship, I researched the ECMO machine, and received an internship with Dr. Ivor Berkowitz:

Year-long S.T.E.M. Internship
